Improving Radiotherapy Treatment for Cancer Patients in Developing Countries

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) held a Technical Meeting on Development of Standards on Paediatric Radiation Oncology for Low-income countries at its United Nations headquarters in Vienna (Austria), from 18 to 21 June 2013.

The purpose of the meeting is to facilitate the dialoge and transfer of knowledge and skills between developed and developing countries in this area, as well as issuing recommendations on minimal requirements of quality for the practice of radiotherapy in children.
