Award to Edith Grynszpancholc at the SLAOP-ACHOP Congress 2025
Within the framework of the XXXVI Congress of the Latin American Society of Pediatric Oncology (SLAOP), the XXIII Congress of the Colombian Association of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology (ACHOP) and the meeting of Childhood Cancer International LATAM, Edith Grynszpancholc, was distinguished with a recognition of her career.
This event, held in Cali, Colombia, between June 11 and 14, brought together leaders in pediatric oncology from Latin America to share knowledge, experiences and promote the development of innovative treatments for children with cancer.
The recognition, presented by the Latin American Society of Pediatric Oncology (SLAOP) and the Colombian Association of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology (ACHOP), highlights Edith's collaboration in pediatric oncology in Latin America, the result of her continuous commitment and contributions to the improvement of childhood and adolescent cancer in the region.
Edith is a CCI Member since 1995, she started the Latinamerican CCI Network and served as CCI Board for 13 years. She is co-founder of the Psychosocial Chapter at the SLAOP and recently founded its Advocacy Chapter, focused on Access to Medicines. She is co-chairing the new Access to Medicines Working Group at CCI and Member of the SIOP-EMWG, representing CCI.
