XVII CCI Latam Conference
Between June 10 and 14, the XVII CCI LATAM Conference took place in Cali, Colombia!
A week filled with connection, shared learning, and regional collaboration brought together key voices from SLAOP, PAHO, ACHOP, CCI LATAM, and St. Jude, all working to transform childhood cancer care in Latin America.
Alejandra Méndez, CCI Vice President, and Carl Queiros, CCI Executive Director, were present throughout the meeting, reinforcing CCI’s global commitment to the Latin American region.
A highlight of the meeting: after 9 years of leadership, Marcela Zubieta passed the torch as Chair of CCI LATAM to Javier Galvan. She will continue serving as Vice Chair.
PAHO and strategic partners also presented the first collaborative study describing the current situation of childhood cancer survivors in the region, a key milestone for survivor care.
This conference was more than a meeting it was a celebration of a community that continues to grow with purpose and hope. See you next year for another edition of this inspiring regional gathering!
