ICCD 2026 Is Here: Demonstrating Impact, From Challenge to Change
After three years of global advocacy and collective action, International Childhood Cancer Day (ICCD) 2026 marks the final year of our campaign “Equal access to care for all children with cancer.” This year, we come together not only to reflect on challenges, but to celebrate impact and demonstrate how our shared efforts are creating real change around the world.
From challenge to change
Over the past years, ICCD has highlighted barriers, amplified voices, and inspired action across countries and communities.
Now, ICCD 2026 focuses on impact.
Under the theme “Demonstrating Impact: From Challenge to Change,” we will showcase progress, real-world results, and the difference our global community is making to improve access to childhood cancer care. This final year is about showing what is possible when patients, families, advocates, healthcare teams, and organisations work together toward a common goal.
Our collective mission remains clear: to advance equality in access to care for every child with cancer, everywhere.
How can you take part in ICCD 2026?
There are many ways to engage, reflect, and help move the movement forward:

Visit the ICCD platform to discover highlights from previous years, explore actions shared by our global community through the digital map, and see how local efforts are driving change.
This year, we invite you to make a personal commitment by pledging one concrete step you will take in your context to help bring children closer to equal access to care.

Celebrate what we have achieved together by sharing campaign posts, graphics, and stories from the ICCD media pack across your channels.
Use #ICCD2026 and #FromChallengeToChange to amplify our collective impact worldwide.
🔹 Envision the future
Children and adults alike are invited to complete a printable letter imagining what equal access to childhood cancer care should look like in 50 years.
Send it back to us by email or post and help build a global vision of a fairer future for childhood cancer care.

Engage your networks, organisations, and local decision-makers. Use the press release and campaign materials to demonstrate what is possible when we unite and to inspire others to join the movement.
